What to Expect on Your First Facial?
This is among my most asked questions among clients that have never experienced a facial.
What is a Classic Facial Vs a Medical Facial?
A classic facial provides a deep cleaning of the skin and the basics in terms of skincare needs. This includes:
- Skin Analysis (Determine skin type)
- Cleanse (Prep the skin)
- Steam (Soften the dead skin and oils)
- Exfoliation (Removal of debri and dead skin)
- Extraction (Black head removal)
- High Frequency (Disinfect)
- Facial Massage (Firming and tightening)
- Mask (Treatment)
- Serums and moisturizer (Nourishing the skin)
Medical Facials are intented to treat or target a specific skincare concern such as melasma, wrinkles, sagging skin, dull skin, acne scars, large pores, acne, etc...
These treatments also involve medical skincare grade to target specific concerns along with the Medical facials such as:
- Microdermabrasion (crystal or diamond tip)
- Chemical Peel
- Photo-rejuvenation
- Dermaplaning
- Oxygen infusion
- Ultrasound Facials
- Microneedling, etc..
Who qualifies for a Classic Facial?
Actually everyone can have a classic facial including those with rosacea. When rosacea is present we do not use steam, but just use warm towels along with enzymatic exfoliant. For those who don't like steam, we follow the same process with the use of only hot towels. All of our facials done by our Master Aesthetician will be complete personalized.

- Do NOT book if you have a sunburn or while any skin irritation.
- Do NOT book if you have an active cold sore aka herpes
What happens Post Facial?
If you haven't received a facial in a long time or this is your very first facial. Most but not all, will experience small breakouts (white bumps) the reason for this is due to bacteria and debri underneath of the layers of the skin that are brought to the surface when we do exfoliation, increase hydration and stimulate blood circulation by increasing oxygen.
It is important during this time to listen to your aesthetician and DO NOT pick at small breakouts, use a gentle cleanser, light serum and light moisturizer. This will clear out on their own in a week.
Do Not be alarmed at this is completely normal the first few facials until the skin is complete cleared out and you will reap the benefits of your facial with a more hydrated, radiant and glowing skin.
Post Care Treatment
Follow the instructions given by the aesthetician. Do not go sun tanning, sun bathing, the gym, pool, sauna, steam rooms or any aggressive exercise s where you might sweat.
Allow the skin to breath for 24 hours do not apply makeup. If you use foundation make sure it is 100% mineral foundation (zinc and titanium dioxide) to avoid clogging the skin.
